Elias Klemperer, PhD

Dr. Klemperer is an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychological Science. As an investigator with the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health, Dr. Klemperer’s research primarily develops clinical and regulatory interventions related to tobacco use, with a particular focus on nicotine reduction and dual users of cigarettes and e-cigarettes. In addition, Dr. Klemperer has a growing program of research on the treatment of opioid use disorder among people who are incarcerated or recently released from incarceration in rural communities.
